One to one Coaching

We will help you to define your goals, clearly understand where you are now and talk through the options available to you. FREETHINK’S CORPORATE one-to-one coaching ensures that the critical component for any successful training program is immediately implemented: the continued practice and application of newly learned techniques. These individual coaching sessions give immediate feedback on the techniques the agents learned in class. The Phone Pro trainer will meet with individual agents for a predetermined amount of time, “plug in” and sit side-by-side while individual front liners take calls. After each call, positive behaviours are highlighted, and missed opportunities identified in order to create an action plan for future calls.

Relationships coaching

We have a powerful need and desire for coupling that drives us into and out of relationships. In recent times we seem to have developed a "need" to be happy and decreasing tolerance for delayed gratification. When we are single, we want to be in a relationship. When we are in an unhappy relationship most of us attempt to improve it and eventually leave if it doesn't get better.

A generation or two ago, men and women dated, married, had families, and rarely divorced. Everyone seemed to know the rules and followed them. "Fulfilment" was not a priority and unhappiness was not cause for divorce. Then our society changed, the rules changed, life and relationships became much more complex. We want to be happy, but we don't know how. We are travelling to a vague destination without a map or compass, and are not aware of what is causing us to be off track.

Here are some facts to help make the case for relationships coaching:

  • There are more single people today than ever in history- 40% of the adult population (28% in 1970)
  • Over 25% of households are single occupant households (17% in 1970)
  • 53% of households are married couples (70% in 1970)
  • The marriage rate is decreasing, and is at its lowest in 30 years
  • The divorce rate has remained stable since 1988
  • While the exact divorce rate is a matter of debate, experts agree that somewhere between 40 and 60% of all marriages will end in divorce, and that for every marriage there is about one divorce
  • Co-habitation is increasing
  • The percentage of young adults who say that having a good marriage is extremely important to them is increasing (94% in one study)
  • The majority of first-born children are now conceived by, or born to, unmarried parents
  • Half of all children will spend some time in a single parent family
  • 43% of first marriages end within 15 years
  • 39% of remarriages end within 10 years
  • More than 85% of all adults marry at least once

Relationships coaching is a bit like a private version of Relate except that the questions can be a little more searching

Corporate coaching for teams and individuals in organisations
Corporate coaching involves coaching towards organisational goals. Just as a football coach coaches a football team, a corporate coach coaches an organisation, focusing on the corporate team and corporate vision, mission, values and strategy.

Results are measured against the performance requirements of the organisation.

Corporate coaches combine basic coaching skills with an in-depth understanding of the language, dynamics, processes and culture of organisations – whether these are large companies, SMEs or public sector.

Our corporate coaches have MBA level experience and training in the psychology of change. Being qualified in different disciplines broadens and enriches the added value they can bring.

Where does it fit in?
Corporate coaching can take place with individuals or groups. Face-to-face coaching can be supported by telephone or e-mail contact. Corporate coaches can work to a specific schedule or on a retainer, and provide long term support, or be brought in to accelerate change or a specific project.

Where corporate coaching involves coaching a whole organisation in one form or another, it usually requires initial survey work and can overlap into both executive and life coaching. Coaching can arise from a consultancy project or form part of a development programme.

Executive coaching

The FREETHINK Executive Coaching Process provides the ultimate in focused and directed senior executive development. There is an emphasis on the ‘whole’ person, and no stone is left unturned in order to identify strengths and development needs. Firm trust and a strong bond forms between the coach and the client, and through a structured, outcomes-led process, we clarify issues, examine limiting beliefs and generate solutions with a compelling course of action. In this way, individuals experience genuine and lasting change. They become both the person they want to be and also the person that others would prefer!

A typical coaching programme will follow this structure: -

  • Intake meeting – Meet the client and their line manager (if they have one) to agree the broad scope and outcomes of the coaching. Agree the collection of information through 360° feedback, interviews, psychometric assessment, and existing performance reviews
  • Feedback – Feedback all the data to the client, to agree strengths, development opportunities, and a draft plan
  • Agreement – Review the plan with the client and line manager to reach a firm agreement about the key areas to focus on for improvement, the desired outcomes and timeline
  • Coaching – This can take a number of forms, including work shadowing, video, guided practice, review of learning materials, continuous feedback and learner-centred activity
  • Progress review – Gather further data to assess the extent to which improvements are actually being made, and review this data with the client and line manager to agree next steps
  • Closure – Agreement with the client and line manager of a forward action plan (that could include further coaching) to ensure that the client continues to develop.

·        A typical Corporate Coaching programme can involve the client in the process from three to 18 months. The duration of the programme is agreed with the client and the line manager (if appropriate) at the same time as the coaching plan.

The process achieves genuine and lasting change because there is:-

  • Dependable and reliable confidentiality assured through the coach and the line manager
  • Clear and consistent support from the line manager. (If the client is the boss, they need to be clearly and consistently committed to the process)
  • Sufficient body of data that the client can believe in and see the need for change
  • Balanced and objective feedback about strengths and development opportunities
  • Client enthusiasm and motivation to change based on a vision of how they want to be in the future
  • Supportive and imaginative coaching that is based on real-life work situations
  • Further data collected to assess actual progress against the baseline
  • Closure and/or agreed continuing support from the line manager and the coach

Executive work shadowing
Individual or team support through observation of meetings, management or business activities or whole day work shadowing.

The work shadowing is aimed at optimising the value-add of your executives by noting and feeding back on the things that are done that don’t make the required difference.
